Florida Tech's Education and Interdisciplinary Studies programs provide rigorous learning and research experiences for advanced careers in education, sustainability, or interdisciplinary science.
Science and mathematics specializations are the focus of our Education Program. B.S., M.S., M.A.T., Ph.D., Ed.S. and Ed.D. degrees are offered in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) specialities, including:
- Science Education
- Computer Education
- Environmental Education
- Mathematics Education
Our Interdisciplinary Studies Program offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in Interdisciplinary Science. We also offer an innovative Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Studies in which students can choose from concentrations in Business, Environmental Sciences, Technology & Engineering, and Social Sciences. Applied research opportunities in Interdisciplinary Science and Sustainability are available with most departments in all five colleges across campus: Science, Engineering, Business, Psychology/Liberal Arts, and Aeronautics. We also have a strong Minor program in Sustainability.
A B.S. program is also offered in Interdisciplinary Science – Military Science. The military science program prepares Florida Tech ROTC cadets to serve as commissioned officers in all United States military branches. Scientific and military studies are incorporated into the curriculum with emphasis on applied problem solving.
