Jami Faunce
From Jami Faunce,
March 2006,
Well good morning Mrs. Blenis. The main reason I am in Orlando is because I didn’t get a job in Brevard county. I had a couple of interviews that first summer after I graduated, then I couldn’t get any. So I was a Conservation Education Instructor at the Living Seas at Epcot for a year. That was fantastic. School field trips, presentations, scuba diving…
I am hoping to get a job in Brevard County next year. The drive is really killing me, and I would really love to teach life science or biology. Orange County’s middle school science is split by grade. 6th grade science is life science, 7th is earth/space, and 8th is physical. You may not remember, but math is not my forte. And I know I am more effective when I am passionate about the subject matter.
So that is my plan. It’s been an interesting year so far. Some really fun days, some that are not as fun, but… that’s to be expected my first year. Hopefully I’ll be back teaching in Brevard next year.
It’s good to hear from you,
Jami Faunce
