Jasmine Baez

From Jasmine Baez, Biology Education, '04

Good Morning Mrs. Blenis,

It has been a very long time since I spoke to you last.  Things are going well over here at Palm Bay High.  I’m still struggling a bit with getting everything organized, but then again, that is to be expected.  I am teaching 3 Biology classes and 2 Integrated Science II classes.  They recently took their FCAT’s and I can see why teachers hate these tests as much as the kids do.  Now we just have to wait for the results and hope that the students did as well as they are capable of doing.

I haven’t had any major disciplinary problems as of yet.  Things have gotten uncomfortable at times, but neither the kids nor I hold grudges so what is a big deal one day isn’t carried on to the rest of the week.  I get along great with most of the kids.  They have a tendency to migrate around my desk whenever I am sitting at it.  For some reason they like "crowding” me, I guess they feel comfortable around me.

How are things going with you?

Anyway, I’ll let you get back to your stuff.  I am sure still get hundreds of emails on a regular basis that you need to read through.  I’ll try to stop by week after next since I’ll be on Spring Break.  Have a good day and hope to hear from you soon.

 Take Care
