Department
of Science and Mathematics Education
Students
The students
in the education department are very devoted to becoming
teachers. They
support each other through small study groups, individual
tutoring and fellowship.
At
least one social is planned every semester, through the Future
Educators of America (FEA) organization. There have been trips
to the Brevard Zoo, the Orlando Science Center, Kennedy Space
Center, national conferences, to local parks for cook-outs,
and of course, to the beach!
Our
department mascot is Ed, a pink flamingo. He stays quite active
on campus and has made numerous trips home with students.
Ed never misses a FEA function!
