Undergraduate Programs

As a small department that fosters a truly family-like atmosphere, our education students enjoy small classes, commonly of 10 to 15 students.  Specializing in junior and senior high school science, computer science and mathematics allows for a focused curriculum and prevents our students from getting lost among the masses in a huge college of education.

Because of the nature of Florida Tech and the education programs, our students get a strong background in mathematics and the sciences.

Florida Tech offers seven different major program plans. Each curriculum has been designed to meet the needs and professional goals of those preparing to teach computer science, science and/or mathematics in the secondary school classroom. All of our programs are approved by the State of Florida Department of Education.

Upon successful completion of each state approved 4-year program, the graduate is "certifiable" and may apply for their 5-year Professional Teaching Certificate. No temporary certificate is required!

Florida Tech also offers Education minors.
