Undergraduate Program
The
Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech), U.S.A. and Ahimsa
International Institute of Higher Education and Research (AIIHER),
India have jointly signed a memorandum of understanding to have a
2 + 2 = 4 years program.
This program enables prospective students to study their first
two years with AIIHER and the last two years at Florida Tech to
obtain a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Tech in any discipline
of Engineering and Science and Technology of their choice.
The program starts in India, at three centers, namely Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai, with the Spring semester of the academic year 2005-2006. The first semester will start on January 23, 2006. The
educational curriculum offered in India is identical to the curriculum
offered at Florida Tech, with the same courses, course numbers,
contents, books, and methods of teaching and evaluation. The grading
system is precisely as it is at Florida Tech. In other words, the
AIIHER center can be considered as an extended campus of Florida
Tech.
The program
is formulated and managed by faculty who also worked at Florida
Tech and other American Institutions.
