What is Mathematical Sciences?

The undergraduate program in mathematical sciences has a very flexible curriculum designed specifically for dual majors. During the first two years, students in this program take the same basic courses as in the applied mathematics program. During their junior and senior years, these basic courses are complimented by upper division mathematics courses such as numerical analysis and modeling and the elective courses from other disciplines. Mathematical Sciences students are encouraged to develop a strong background in an area of science or engineering.
