The Department of Physics and Space Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a permanent faculty position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 2017. Higher ranks may be considered for senior or well-established candidates. Applicants who conduct research in experimental astro-particle, nuclear, or laser physics are strongly encouraged. We are also interested in applicants whose research overlaps current programs in our department, and who can bring equipment and/or membership in large collaborations. Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels is required, as is developing an internationally recognized research program.
